On Friday 23rd February, join us in celebrating the 63rd Birthday of the current ruling Japan Emperor, Naruhito. Unlike most national holidays, The Emperor’s Birthday falls on the incumbent’s actual birthdate, and it's the perfect evening to join in the celebrations and throw His Majesty a Birthday banquet. To mark the occasion, we will launch our newest creation, Wood-Fired Kyoto Duck, Beaverbrook Town House’s iteration of Peking’s infamous duck as part of the special menu.
The Emperor's Banquet is priced at £90.00 per person and is bookable now, for tables at 7pm.
Alongside our Kyoto Duck, Chef Pavel has curated a fantastic set-menu to savour and, with entertainment on hand, we hope that you will be wined, dined and amused in high Japanese style.
For those looking for wine suggestions or a sake to pair with our Kyoto Duck, Antonio, our Head Sommelier, has recommended:
Chateau Carbonnieux Grand Cru Classé 2019, Bordeaux, France
Brunello di Montalcino La Rasina 2018, Tuscany, Italy
Neoguchi Naohiko Sake Institute, 2021
Table bookings are at 7pm, and are available for tables of up to 10 people. £90 per person for the Banquet menu, with beverages and service charge at 12.5% in addition. No a la carte available on the day.
